CLIVE'S GAMES

In May 2005, four club members travelled up to Warhammer World in Nottingham to take part in The Badab War, one of Games Workshop's Dark Stars Campaign Weekends for their Warhammer 40,000 game system.

Clive Dudley took his Imperial Guard army, the 13th Silesian Regiment, and he also took his camera...

Game 1 was against Howling Griffons, one of the "Historical" Chapters for the campaign.  One group had brought all ten companies of the chapter.

Clive deployed his vast horde mostly in one half of the table, whilst the Griffon Player spread his handful of troops out.

Clive finished the game with a Rough Rider charge versus the Griffon Command Squad, which could have been the game winner: all those power weapon attacks at Initiative 5.
Unfortunately, they failed to score a single wound: needless to say, the Command Squad proceeded to chop them to bits!

Game 2 was against Shadow Dragons, another chapter where a group of friends had worked together to provide a representation of the whole chapter.

Game 3 was against...Howling Griffons!

This was the Heavy Support company, with massed Devastator Squads: very painful!

Game 4 was against another Shadow Dragon

Game 5 was yet another Howling Griffon, this time with lots of vehicles.
