| In May 2005, four club members travelled up to
Warhammer World in Nottingham to take part in The Badab War,
one of Games Workshop's Dark Stars Campaign Weekends for their
Warhammer 40,000 game system. Warhammer World is a tremendous wargames venue, and a credit to Games Workshop. Here are a few pictures to give a feel of the location and facilities available. Thanks to Clive Dudley and John Orange for providing the pictures. An introduction to the Campaign Weekend itself is on this page The pictures here are thumbnails: click on them to see a larger picture |

Warhammer World is a very impressive set of buildings in the Lenton area of Nottingham. At left, this is the entrance to the offices section of the site, complete with iconic statue of a Space Marine. At right, Games Workshop images are present on most of the buildings. |

| Here is the players' entrance to Warhammer World and the
venue's shop. At far right is the entrance to Bugman's Bar, which was our exit each evening... |

Here are a few pictures of the main gaming area, showing some of the dozens of game tables, all well-supplied with excellent scenery. The large arches at the far end of the hall lead to the shop. |

There were some very nice set-piece scenery items on display around the hall. Below are a few that caught our photographers' notice. |

Of course, there was a well-stocked shop on site.
Decorated in the same Late Medieval style as the rest of the hall, this was
everything a Games Workshop should be: lots of stock, painting tables,
gaming tables and plenty of room to move around. |
