PAW has staged a convention in Plymouth every year since 1983.

Here are a few pictures of the 2005 event, which took place over the weekend of February 5th/6th.  Special thanks to Clive Dudley, Nigel Kerr and Dave Trace for supplying the pictures.

This page has pictures of some of the Trophy winning games.  Other participation and display games are on this page, and pictures of the Competition games are here.   Results of the Competitions can be found through the Results Page

Here's a general view of the Games and Trade Hall (left) and a shot of the trophies for this year's competitions

There was a good selection of games on show this year, although there were fewer of them.  Nigel Kerr and his team took the trophy for Best Game with his Mage Knight participation games (below)

This Dalek participation game from Chris Trace and the ArmadaCon Team took the Best Participation Game prize.  Players seemed to be having a great time all weekend.

Steve Pearse and John Soper were awarded the Best Demonstration prize for their American War of Independence game...
...unfortunately, they'd gone to lunch when we came around to photograph them, so we don't have their picture!

Gary Watson was awarded the Best Painted 15mm Trophy for these American Civil War troops.  This is the second year running that Gary has one this prize.

Andy Claxton was awarded the Best Painted 25mm Trophy for these Ptolemaic Greeks, here seen fighting Colin Evan's Carthaginians in the DBM Competition.

Andy Claxton went on to win the 25 DBM Competition, so came away with two trophies!

Jimmy Walton was runner-up in the 25mm DBM Competition

Here are the winners of the Warhammer Fantasy Battle competition, but I don't have their names!
I'll update the page as soon as I get them.

We run our own club DBM League during the year, and this year's Champion was Les Shuttlewood

Here's a picture of a large portion of the club membership, taken on Saturday afternoon at the show.

Pictures of other Participation and Demonstration games are on this page, and Pictures of the Competition games are here.  Results of the Competitions can be found through the Results Page
