Wargames Competitions have been a popular part of the PAW shows since 2000, and this year was no exception.

The range of periods has increased and the rule sets have changed over the years, but Ancients have always been a part of our competition mix.  In 2015, the rules in use were once again Field of Glory and there were competitions in both 15mm and 25mm scales.

There were some excellent armies in action, especially in the 25mm competition.

Bolt Action was a new competition for 2015, and attracted a small but enthusiastic band of players.

It has already been confirmed as part of our 2016 competition mix.

SAGA Dark Age Skirmish was another small competition, which included our furthest travelled competitor, Will Greenslade, who had flown in from the United States.

All the forces in use showed a high standard of painting, with Kurt Baker awarded the Best Painted prize for his Anglo-Saxons

Warhammer Fantasy has been a part of our competition line-up for almost as long as Ancients.

Some of the armies on display were terrific, with huge amounts of skill and technique invested into them.

Warhammer 40K is a regular at PAW club meetings, despite some recent grumblings about new editions of the rules.

The competition was well-supported, with a wide range of colourful armies on view.
