Once again, there were only four competitons running: one Science Fiction, one Fantasy and two Ancients.

Over 80 players came to Plymouth to take part in these competitions and the show, and the PAW committee and members thank them for their support.

Special thanks goes to the Organisers, Umpires and their helpers for all their hard work, both before and during the weekend.

Art de la Guerre

The Art de la Guerre competition represented the 25mm part of the Ancients period, with some magnificent armies on the table.

There was a good turn out, with 14 players.

Field of Glory

The 15mm Ancients game was represented by Field of Glory.

13 players made it to Plymouth, and they all seemed to have a great time.

This year's theme of "Bring Your Trunks" - armies must include at least four Elephants - brought some fine looking armies to the tables.

Kings of War

Kings of War covered the Fantasy portion of the hobby, and has grown in 2024, with 18 players.

Many armies featured Fantastic Beasts of one sort or another as their focal points, and there were many wonderful examples of painting skill.

Warhammer 40K

By far the largest competition at 40 players, WH40K provided players with a science fiction option.

The armies in use frequently included towering War Machines, that dominated the tabletop. There were some stunning examples of painting amongst these armies.
